R-0003 is used in the FAS/DPD chlorine test. After the free chlorine test, this reagent is added to return the mixture to a pink color and to then perform the combined chloramines test
- Measures Combined Chlorine: After testing for free chlorine (with R-0001 and R-0002), adding R-0003 reveals the combined chlorine (chloramines) by causing the sample to turn pink.
